Barbara Szymanska –  Opera Singer in Dubai,  is a Polish soprano who has been recognized for her extraordinary talent, beautiful voice, outstanding musicianship and acting skills. After her opera debut as Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Klassik Festival Kirchstetten (Austria) she was praised by critics for her “unique, silver-tone, rich harmonics, light lyric soprano” and acclaimed as a person “who has what it takes to follow into the footsteps of Janowitz or Gruberova who also began their careers with the Barbarina’s role”

She also has been featured in an advertising film promoting Dubai across the world in which she performed with a 30-member orchestra on top of the world’s tallest building, i.e. Burj Khalifa. The film has been seen by millions of viewers across the globe.

Szymanska graduated with honours from the Music School in Kielce and completed her vocal training with distinctions at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw.

Since the beginning of her career she has received many scholarships:
She was granted a scholarship by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in Warsaw and received a special award from The Chopin Music Association. Barbara completed a one-year scholarship at Universitat fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna. She was granted two scholarships by the “Internationale Sommer Akademie Prag-Wien-Budapest” in Baden and in Reichenau (Austria) and received a scholarship from the President of the Capital City of Warsaw (Poland).

Barbara has also been the laureate of several awards for her singing. She won the first prize and a prestigious award at the Platowna National Vocal Competition (Wroclaw) She was a finalist and got a Special Prize at the National Competition for Young Sopranos (Busko-Zdroj). She won a prestigious prize granted by the director of the Grand Theatre in Poznan at the Ada Sari International Vocal Art Competition (Nowy Sacz).

Barbara takes part in many concerts, cooperating with philharmonics and artistic institutions both in Poland and abroad. She has visited the scenes of many music festivals including the Summer Festival of Songs by Polish
Composers in Warsaw, the Moniuszko Festival in Kudowa Zdroj, the Academy of Polish Song in Kornik, the Krystyna Jamroz International Music Festival in Busko-Zdroj as well as the Klassik Festival Kirschtetten in Austria.

She was a soloist of the Chamber Stage at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw and toured with the Warsaw St. Ann’s Choir throughout Germany, France, and Switzerland.

Since 2004 she has been a soloist of the Romuald Traugutt Philharmonic in Warsaw (concerts in Poland, Germany and the USA).
Between 2007 and 2012 she lived in Dubai where she sung not only as a soloist but also as a member of vocal ensemble Dubai Divas and The 3 Sopranos vocal trio.

She has sung with the orchestras of the Swietokrzyska Philharmonic, the Slaska Philharmonic, the Opolska Philharmonic, the National Opera Orchestra, the Strauss Ensemble orchestra, Concerto Avenna, the Animato band, the Salonowa Orkiestra Zdrojowa, the Paderewski Symphony Orchestra as well as Kammerorchester Schloss Kirschtetten.

She has collaborated with the following conductors: Miroslaw Jacek Blaszczyk, Marcin Nalecz-Niesiolowski, Wojciech Niewrzol, Zbigniew Goncerzewicz, Boguslaw Dawidow, Martyn Bagnall, Benjamin Druffel, Stuart Squire and Hooman Khalatbari.
